The Falling of the Empire
Hello, my name is Justus B. Agony and I am an imaginary friend of Arts.
Have you been wondering what is happening to the United States of America lately?
It seems as if we’re suffering one crisis or calamity right on top of another.
The 9/11 attacks on New York, and the pentagon, wars and rumors of more war, record hurricane seasons with catastrophic landfalls all around the Gulf Coast, Fires in California, Unemployment rates hitting all time highs, Stock Market crashes, Big bank and business merges and consolidations. Housing recession, strikes, protest marches, and health care crisis, errosion of traditional family values, crime and capital murder rising.
My friends Arthur was afraid to write about the recent calamities and catastrophes for fear it would cause some kind of a curse to come on him, so here I am digging up the bad news to make some since of it all.
My philosophy on this snowball downhill run the country has been facing for about almost a decade is very real and does not look to be getting any better anytime soon sadly to say. We are in the midst of a cycle here and it’s anyone’s guess as to when it will end or turn around.
Can you imagine what things will be like in another ten or so years going the way they are? I don’t even want to.
I can say this much, if you believe in a higher power out there in this vast universe, get busy talking to Him/Her cause we need all the help we can get these days. Sometimes lately, it seems as if there exists another greater and more intelligent life form among us that seems to have a connection to a source of power greater than that of humanity. I’m guessing that is what is meant by, a higher power! Good or Bad, whatever the case may be, we must rely on that power and our own strengths to make it through all of this and continue in a logical and ethical fashion so as NOT to further disrupt any sense of balance that may or may not exist in this mortal life as we know it to be presently.
I believe that each of us as individuals carry a portion of the responsibility for what has and is happening on this planet during our time here and somewhere along the way, we shall be held accountable for what we have done, whether it is bad or good.
These strange events pretty much affect us all in some way or another regardless of whether we like it or not and we can choose to try and understand what has happened or just act dumbfounded and say, I told ya that it was going to happen sooner or later.
I think now, not a single one of us has the answers to our problems, but, we stand a better chance of working through them if we take a stand together and hope and help one another to the other side of any of these problems facing us as a people.
I hope that somebody out there can agree with my views and can comment with more logical explanation and reason how best to handle the situations we find ourselves in today!
Thanks Art for letting me use your computer and blogspot to express my weird feelings, it has been a pleasure to unleash this bottled up feeling. If anyone has any ideas on how to better proceed with caution, feel free to post them. I'm sure that Art wouldn't mind!
